Gpa calculation methods vary by country

GPA calculation methods vary by country and by institution, as some give extra points for honors classes and some weight score by units. For example, in the United States a four-point scale is used where A = 4, B = 3, C = 2, D = 1, and F = 0. So, to compute your GPA you need to do the following steps:
1. List your grades in all the courses you are enrolled in
2. Find their corresponding scale value (A = 4, B = 3, C = 2, D = 1, and F = 0)
3. Multiply the scale value by the number of credits to get the grade points
4. Sum up all the of your grade points .
5. Divide your grade point total by the total credit hours of the classes you attended.
