Problem: Globalism is the ideology that economic and foreign policy should be planned on a global basis, rather than fulfilling the interests of individual countries. It is centered on the concept that events in one country can significantly affect other countries and that economic, social, and political actions should be secured with a global perspective in mind. Nationalism embodies that each nation should govern itself, free from outside interference and that a nation has its own policy, and that the nation is the only rightful source of political power. I believe that all policies, whether global or national, affect each other inside and outside of those countries. People visit other countries all the time and have to adhere to the policies in that country, just the same as abiding by the policies when traveling to the US. For example, marijuana is illegal in some US states and legal in others. During the pandemic, wearing masks was not just a policy in the US. Other countries had similar policies.
