Problem
A police officer pulls you over for going 5 mph over the speed limit (a minor infraction that does not allow the police to take you into custody). After writing you your ticket, the officer asks you if you have anything in the car that you aren't supposed to have. You tell him no, you do not. The officer responds, "if you have nothing to hide, you don't mind me searching your car then, right?" You do, in fact, mind him searching your car, but you think you don't have any other option but to say yes, so you agree to the search. Given your misunderstanding (that you, in fact, could have said no to the search) does this fall within one of the exceptions to the warrant requirement?
