Given recent developments and the dramatic change in the ship of state with the current presidential administration, it seems that we may be headed for a much more regulatory state. On the one hand, having the government so involved in the economy may be undesirable. On the other hand, having it not involved at all may be undesirable. Where to draw the line can be tricky. The same is true concerning regulation. It's kind of like a double-edged sword. Regulations become necessary due to human nature. But the very same regulations can hurt economic growth, and therefore jobs, if they are excessive or overused.
