Problem
One aspect of racial profiling occurs when the police assume that members of a certain racial or ethnic group are more likely to engage in criminal activity. Whole communities can be racially profiled, resulting in over policing, unfair treatment including harassment and police brutality. This can result in distrust between law enforcement and law abiding members of the community.
• Other than being stopped by the police, give an example of why and where a law abiding member of the community might be racially profiled.
• Feel free to use your personal knowledge and / or experience if you are inclined to do so. (The response should be at least two paragraphs).
