As we can see from the Ury and Gallo readings and from the Elizabeth Lesser TED Talk, we are often interacting with people who appear to be difficult or whom we sometimes have trouble understanding. Are there any situations in your life that these readings remind you of?
Give an example of a time when you had to respond to a difficult colleague at work, or when you had to put yourself in the shoes of someone whom you felt was completely different from you. What happened? Be as specific as possible.
