Getting to know a fellow student can foster a sense of community developing trust and camaraderie, therefore increasing chances of a constant stream of dialogue. One of my favorite bible verses is Amos 3:3 “How can two walk together except they agree”? I know this scripture is talking about believers and unbelievers, but I think this applies to all things in life. Have you ever tried to lock arms with someone while walking? If you are not on the same foot and walking in unison, you will rock back and forth bumping into one another. Normally arguments start because two people do not agree or see eye to eye on a conversation or situation. Knowing our fellow students will help to foster creditability and understanding, if and why we don’t agree. Contributing to the community will benefit our educational experience, because, that means there will be more people researching and applying personal knowledge which evokes learning.
