Geometric continuity - Properties of Bezier Curves
Geometric continuity is the other process to join two successive curve sections. G0 continuity is the similar as parametric continuity that is, two curves sections to be joined should have similar coordinate position at the boundary point which is, curve section are joined together hence they have similar coordinates position on the boundary point. Initial order geometric continuity G(1) implies that the tangent vectors are the similar at join point of two successive curves that is the parametric first derivative are proportional at the intersection of two successive sections while second order geometric continuity is G2 implies that both first and second order parametric derivates of the two curve parts are proportional at their margin of the boundary. In G2 curvature of the two successive curve parts will match at the joining position.
