Introduction
By now you should have read the assigned book selections from Genesis and the Roman poet Ovid's Metamorphoses. If not, please do so before you continue with this discussion activity.
Instructions
Genesis, of course, offers the Hebraic-Christian account of how the world began. Ovid's Metamorphoses provides an account by a Roman writer who draws upon source material from the Greeks: his account thus provides a perfect context to study Classical values. The contrast and interplay of Christian and Classical values forms a major focus of this class, so here is a good opportunity to gain a beginning understanding of those values.
Focus your answers on one big question: How do the two accounts of creation differ?
