General motor skills of children with a developmental

Question: General motor skills of children with a developmental disorder. Lopata, Hamm, Volker, and Sowinski (2007) studied the general motor and visual skills of children with a neurological developmental disorder. They gave 17 children with the disorder (n = 17) the Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency, where higher scores indicate better skills. Children in this study scored 30.4 ± 14.9 (M ± SD) points on this test. They compared mean scores in the sample with scores from the general normative population (J.l =50). Test whether or not scores in this sample differed from the general normative population using a .05 level of significance. State the value of the test statistic and the decision to retain or reject the null hypothesis.
