Game theory is a fascinating and powerful tool for understanding strategic interactions. Although this week's readings focus on applying game theory to strategic interactions in business, game theory can be used to understand strategic interactions that occur in almost any setting.
To start off our weekly discussion, the question to be considered is:
What do you think is an interesting and important example of a situation or issue that can be better understood by applying the concepts of game theory? Clearly explain nature of the strategic interaction in your example. What are the "choices" available to the "players" in your example? Since this is the last discussion question of the course, feel free to use an example, contemporary or historic, drawn from any field that interests you, not just business.
