Goal of the project:
To gain and promote understanding of Sikh history, identity, forms of religious expression, and religious values. The project should help others who know little about the religious lives of North American and European Sikhs to understand the challenges of practicing the Sikh religion in America (or Canada or Europe). What are the challenges that observant Sikhs face in various public settings? What accommodations have Sikhs sought in order to freely practice their religion at school, in the workplace, and in the military?
