Discussion: What message does art convey?
Each culture that we examined had distinct ideas that they wanted to communicate through art. These ideas could be political, religious, or perhaps personal. From the cultures that we discussed in part 1 of this week's material, identify 3 examples of art objects, identify the message they wanted to convey, and then discuss whether or not you believe they were successful.
