Q: HyperFast Computers manufactures three PC models: the DeskPro-X (X), the DeskPro (D) and the LapPro (L). Each of these PC's requires one CPU (central processing unit) chip, either the X86 chip or the P2 chip. Because of limited production facilities, HyperFast cannot produce more than 10000 desktop models or more than 6000 laptop models per month. HyperFast has a limited monthly supply of CPU chips: 4500 X86's used in the DeskPro-X and 12000 P2's used in the DeskPro and LapPro models. DeskPro-X models require 4 hours of assembly time, compared with 3 hours for the DeskPro and 2.5 hours for the LapPro. Currently, HyperFast has 29000 hours of assembly time per month. HyperFast estimates that it makes $325 profit on a DeskPro-X, $225 on a DeskPro and $200 on a LapPro. Formulate the problem as a linear programming model and solve it using Excel solver (print and attach your Excel output).
