Formal and Technical Language
I have been advised to keep the text impersonal and avoid the use of the first person. Can you please help I have found some questions below to help but they do not help me with the correct answer thanks.
For example, you would not normally use 'I' as in 'I did this'. It is important that you choose a suitable format which is both easy to read but still formal.
Assess each of these phrases to decide if they are suitable and indicate your answer with Yes or No. (can you also please give me a quick explanation of why Yes or No thanks)
1. It was determined by the authors that the result was satisfactory.
2. Samples taken from the specimen indicated that the material had yielded.
3. Analysis of the sample revealed great difference in the levels.
4. I identified three papers which were considered to be important.
