The readings in this course have primarily been presented and discussed in chronological order. And this approach makes sense in order to allow us to consider specific and unique historical/ cultural context. For this reflection paper, I'd like you to consider all of the assigned readings so far and propose a thematic reorganization. Address what parallels/similarities/commonalities you can glean from across the different time periods.
Options
• Focus on one or two major themes in at least two of the periods discussed so far and how they are represented in the readings
o Possible examples: marriage, stereotypes, specific inequities, double standards, self-discovery, race, class, sex
• OR you can write within a particular period and address a common theme within those readings (at least two readings required)
