One of Euclid's axioms says that every right angles are equal. That sounds strange to modern ears, as we think of right angles in terms of measurement: if the right angle is a 90° angle, then of course all right angles are equal. Euclid's definition of the right angle, though, is different. Find what it is, and describe why his axiom is essential.
