You are going to create a problem involving one of the shapes you are learning about in this unit. Choose one of the following shapes and list all dimensions. For example, if you choose a circle, you would need to list the length of the radius. If you choose a parallelogram, you will need to list the height and the length of the two bases. If possible, include a drawing (directions on how to upload an image into your Discussion Board post are included in Doc Sharing).
- Rectangle
- Square
- Parallelogram
- Triangle
- Trapezoid
- Circle
2. Calculate the perimeter and area of the figure. Show all work and give the perimeter and area using the correct units.
Example: Find the perimeter and area of a circle with a radius of 4 ft
P = 2r = 2(3.14)(4) = 25.12 ft
A = r² = (3.14)(4)² = (3.14)(16) = 50.25
