Find the absolute maximum and absolute minimum values of f

Question

Find the absolute maximum and absolute minimum values of f (x) = x ² - 2x + 1 on the interval [0, 3].  The vertex of the parabola is at (1,0)

Is this equation most correctly answered by saying:

the Absolute minimum value is 1 (as the x when the equation is set to 0)

or

the absolute minimum is 0 as this is the y value that would be at the minimum y value for any inflection point on the function.
