Problem: Find a numerical data that tells something about the people of Canada, such as their location, cultural diversity, family size or structure, or age. Look for a national or regional statistic that interests you. Once you have found it, share the following information:
- The statistic or set of statistics you found.
- Where you found the statistic and the source you used.
- Your thoughts about the statistic. Did it surprise you? Can you see this reflected in your daily life? Give examples.
- Use additional external sources to link this statistic to social theory and to current event information.
Remember that a statistic is a number that can be used to make comparisons.
