Find mass transfer rate on both top and bottom surfaces

Given a flat plate like surface that is 0.1m by 0.25m.

Density of water=1000 kg/m^3

Density of oil =800kg/m^3

And a diffusion coeffiecnt. D(oil->water)= 1*10^-9 m^2/s

If the flat surface is submerged in water and has an oily film covering both surfaces

1. What is the mass transfer rate on both the top and bottom surfaces(kg/s). Are they equal and why?

2.Estimate how long it will take for the oil to disperse from the surfaces given the initial oil layer is 1mm thick?
