i. Define overweight/obesity and discuss the aetiology, ensure that you also explore childhood versus adulthood fat deposition in your answer.
ii. Discuss one of the potential mechanisms that obesogenic environments have on increasing the risk of overweight/obesity in communities? Examples of obesogenic environments to discuss include built environment (recreation spaces), socioeconomic status, residential geographical location.
iii. Discuss one of the internal, non-environmental mechanisms for increasing risk of overweight/obesity e.g., genes, nutrigenomics, microbiome, emotional factors.
iv. Identify the healthcare professionals that are at highest risk of stigmatising patients seeking healthcare and then, identify the effects of this weight stigma on the quality of health care provided to patients, both short and long term e.g., access, quality.
