Problem
There are many different opinions and ethical questions relating to the military industrial complex. Many things that help society and civilians came from research or engineering done for the government or military. Alfred Nobel became known for inventing dynamite, which was used as a weapon but also for mining and construction, and those profits helped Nobel set up the Nobel Prize we know today.
Do you think the size and results (such as drones, warfare, etc.) of the military industrial complex is warranted or ethical? Besides a military and warfare perspective, does the advancements and technologies we have in society due to military funding research, and engineering change your opinion at all? If so, please explain and give example(s), or explain why not.
