Read the argument from the nature of the efficient cause (the cosmological argument).
Do you think that the cosmological argument is convincing? Clearly mention your view. Then:
i. If you find the argument convincing, try to refute one of Hume's critiques against the argument. OR
ii. If you find the argument unconvincing, explain why the universe does not need a first cause. How is it possible to believe in both causality and the claim that the universe does not need a first cause?
