The organizational structure and culture of a nonprofit organization (NPO) is quite different from a government or private business. For example, to establish a US NPO, each state sets a minimum number of individuals required to serve on the board of directors of the NPO.
Discuss the following:
1. Explain why an NPO needs a board of directors.
2. Evaluate and explain why an NPO should or should not exist when for-profit or government agencies provide a similar service, say a private, nonsectarian school.
