Problem
i. Think of a crime problem in your area. Identify and describe the steps that a police chief would go through to develop a policy to address that problem. Be sure to clearly explain what happens at each stage.
ii. Identify the different types of courts in the criminal justice system and describe their jurisdictions. Provide an example of the type of crime each level would handle.
iii. Compare and contrast the juvenile justice system with the adult criminal justice system. In your response be sure to explain how they are similar and how they are different. Do you think it is appropriate for some juveniles to be waived to the adult system and under what circumstances? Explain.
iv. Compare and contrast the main ideologies or philosophies of punishment. Define each one and explain which goal best aligns with your beliefs.
