Read - Thanks for your post. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts this week. I know your preceptor and clinical site is very busy seeing patients. Do you think the providers have enough time to thoroughly explain the screening tests to patients? Why or why not?
a. You are to reply to the post above about precepting as a nurse practitioner student with a provider. The answer to the above question is "yes, I do believe she explains the screening process thoroughly to her patients. Since I've been precepting with her I've notified that all her patients love her and speak highly of her. She does make her patient's do a lot of follow up which I'm assuming is normal in primary care but she does take the time to explain things in detail with patient."
