Explain the research hypothesis and decide to conduct one or two-tailed test
Data from the MTF 2006 survey reveal that 71.5% (432 out of 604) of males as well as 74% (562 out of 756) of females reported trying alcohol. Your wonder whether there is any dissimilarity between males and females in the population trying alcohol (this variable does not measure regular use, merely if the student had ever tried alcohol). Use a test of the difference amongst proportions when answering these questions.
Explain what is the research hypothesis? Would you conduct a one- or a two-tailed test? Why?
