Explain the Regulation of blood pressure?

The renin-angiotensin system regulates the blood pressure. The synthesis of renin is decreased by calcitriol through its interaction with the vitamin D regulator (VDR). Inappropriate activation of the renin- angiotensin system is thought to play a role in some forms of human hypertension and adequate vitamin D levels may be important for decreasing the risk of high blood pressure.
