General instructions and guidelines are the same as for the first research paper. You should review the entire Project Description and pay attention to feedback on your first paper.
These are the areas to be covered in Research Paper 2.
In Research Paper 2, you will a) identify at least one legislative branch unit that is involved with the policy; this will usually be a congressional subcommittee or full committee or both; b) identify at least one unit in the executive branch that is involved with the policy; even if the legislation has not become law, discuss the executive branch unit that would be charged with implementing the legislation after it becomes law. c) explain the outcome of the public policy - for example, did it get enacted into law or is it awaiting congressional action? d) What is/was the position of the White House, if any?
This paper should be approximately three pages in length, double spaced. It may not exceed four pages.
