In your initial research, is the JJS pointed in the right direction and should certain cases be bumped to superior court, where these cases can be used to set an example to other juveniles? Is this an effective deterrent, where the social media often sensationalizes the cases, where they become political hot potatoes and the D.A.s have to move forward and bump them, otherwise they will not get re-elected and look weak? I have a hard time with exceptions to the rule, where the whole point of having the age limit effectively defined is to ensure that we focus on rehabilitation and not create a scenario where the system is subjective to the whim, will, or fancy of an individual, what are your thoughts?
