Early in the class we discussed Reconstruction and the attempt to put the U.S. together after the Civil War. What were the primary challenges the U.S. faced after the Civil War? What solutions were offered and by whom? What was successful and what was not as successful, and why? Finally, if you could adapt one Reconstruction era program to be more successful, how would you change it and why would it be better?
Explain the incidence during rerconstruction, what favours it, what hinder it and if you could what would you do differently to, make it more successful.
