After watching the film "Seven Pounds", students will develop written ethical opinions and explain their stance. This paper will be in APA formatting and 6 to 8 pages in length, including Reference Page.
Part One: 2 to 3 pages
After watching the film "Seven Pounds", explain the immediate ethical dilemmas presented in the film. List all relevant values and concepts, as well as solutions to resolve the ethical / moral dilemmas. Include one outside source.In addition, answer the following questions in this section:
- Is saving multiple lives in replace of your own an ethical decision?
- From a Biblical perspective, what is the value of a human life?
- Is impersonating Federal personnel for the purpose of helping individuals receive life enhancing gifts acceptable? Why or why not?
- If you were in "Ben's" shoes and were responsible for the deaths of 7 individuals, how would you live the rest of your life? Would your moral or ethical principles change?
Part Two: 2 to 3 pages
God created the world in 7 days. Using Biblical references (2 minimum), explain the story of creation and emphasize the implied ethical principles that God set in stone for creation. Use the Ten Commandments and include one outside source.
Part Three: 1 to 2 pages
Read the exert (on the page below) from Tillman and apply the concepts learned in class to ethical decisions made within the criminal justice system. Does Christian ethics and Criminal Justice ethics align? How is death viewed by Christians? How is death viewed in this film?
