Assignment task: The purpose of this task is to analyse an agrifood or fibre industry taking the perspective of a business owner or manager. You will need to nominate an Australian-based agricultural or horticultural industry to undertake your analysis on. Through your research and industry analysis, you will develop an understanding of your industry's core business and the competitive environment in which it operates. You will use both the Porter's 5 forces model and PESTEL analysis informed by scholarly literature, and professional reports to analyse your nominated industry. During your analysis you will highlight key issues your chosen industry faces. You will also identify several potential innovations from the scholarly literature and/or industry reports for your chosen industry that will help solve the issues you have identified.

- Criterion 2 Describe the issues and opportunities within your nominated industry.
- Criterion 3 Analyse your nominated industry by applying Porter's 5 Forces and PESTEL analysis.
