Assignment
This introduces a real-world scenario in which it will be helpful to use a database for planning and organizing a family reunion. I need help demonstrating my understanding of the components of a relational database and how to design a database. This Assessment consists of two parts.
Scenario: You are going to be in charge of your family reunion this year, and you have decided to set up a database to hold all your family information.
Part 1: Design Database
Next, design a family reunion database based on some of the needs and requirements you determined. I need to define specific entities and attributes that you want to include, and use these to implement conceptual model. The conceptual model is the first of three phases in creating a relational database.
Using your favorite drawing program, help implement a conceptual model of your family database using at least two tables.
• Identify the entities and attributes for your conceptual model.
• Identify the relationships between the entities.
I also need help to explain why a high-level conceptual model is needed. Explain how to derived the conceptual model. Please Include both a drawing of your conceptual model and an explanation of how you identified your entities and relationships.
Part 1: Help conceptual and a logical model.
Help me conceptual and a logical model for your family reunion database. I need to also apply normalization as you develop this logical model.
Directions:
1. Help create conceptual model for the family reunion database.
2. Define the entities and attributes.
3. Synthesize a logical diagram for the family reunion database. The model must be normalized to BNF3.
4. Engage your friends, family, or coworkers for their opinion of your model. You may need to refine your model based on their comments.
5. Include the following in your essay:
• An explanation of how you derived your logical model.
• List an explanation of the steps you took to normalize your logical model.
• An explanation of how you identified your keys and relationships.
• A drawing of your logical model.
