Country Case Report :
This report will allow the students to learn about the theories/concepts of globalization, the competitive advantage of nations, globalization's non-polarity, the geopolitics of scarce natural resources, and the role of identity politics and diasporas oneconomic development.
You should include the following in the report:
1. Whether the philosophy/foreign policy of (Your Selected Country) as seen through game theory facilitates cooperation or conflict; on whether the patterns of globalization in the country support the hyperglobalist, sceptics, or transformationalist view;and whether the country's winners and losers from the process of globalization are represented through the NIE, the SPG, the Outliers, or Feminist Economics perspective, Islamic Economics, and Asian Values perspective.
2. How (Your Selected Country) has adjusted to the period of a G-Zero World (i.e., instability and public spending cuts) and the Beijing Consensus; how developed is the country in regardto the concepts of competitive advantage of nations, global city, and global gender gap; and whetherthe country has managed or has been altered because of the new geopolitics of energy or other scarce natural resources (i.e., food, water, rare earth elements, etc).
3. How do identity politics and diasporic groups of(Your Selected Country)affect the country's economic development; whether theeconomic relations between the state and corporations (i.e., state capitalism, social capitalism, market capitalism, Islamic economics, etc) in the country have resulted in economic growth after the 2008 financial crisis; andwhether the country has solved or has been impeded by the puzzle of economic development.
