Explain taking care of an indigenous patient

Assignment task:

Ethical dilemma: What Would You Do? Abigail is a new nurse who is doing a clinical rotation on an acute care ward with her nursing faculty member. She goes to the floor a day before clinical to prepare for the next day and finds out that she will be taking care of an Indigenous patient who has been transferred from a remote community located 500 km away. While reviewing the patient's chart and medication administration records, Abigail is interrupted by a care aide and a nurse who have just returned from their coffee break. They ask Abigail if she has been assigned to take care of the patient the following day, to which she responds with a "yes". The care aide then comments, "Thank goodness, that Indian is so demanding with all the family coming and going, asking questions all day!" The nurse adds, "They've asked us to rearrange our care so they can do some drum song thing-such a hassle!" Abigail is shocked and asks them to repeat what they just said. The nurse and care aide repeat their statements, even pretending to drum and sing into a microphone with some body movements.
