1. Explain the stages of fire and the relation to fire resistance and flame spread. Describe suppression tactics during each one of these stages and the hazards firefighters should be aware of during the growth and spread of the fire. What are your concerns with respect to the building itself and how can the information provided from fire resistance and flame spread benefit firefighters during suppression activities?
2. Detail the products of combustion and the correlation between these products and firefighter safety, both during an incident and during salvage and overhaul of the structure. List and explain the safety measures that should be in place to ensure that firefighters are not affected by these products?
