Problem: Oftentimes, when people say-'why would someone do that?' the answer is a simple -'they must be crazy' which we should know is an oversimplification and non-specific answer to a complex series of events that may have contributed to human behavior. In chapter 3, there are several theories presented that may help shed some light on the ultimate question-'Why did she/he do that?'
Let's suppose that we are trying to explain school violence and we want to better understand this. What are 3 main areas of a youth's life that you would look at and what are 2 theories that you think might explain this best. Be sure to explain yourself using concepts from the theories.
