A well-known major grocery store chain is struggling to maintain profitable levels of sales and is losing market share. The chain has large, attractive store sites and carries a reputable brand name. The chain also allows ordering online with an express curbside pick-up option. However, the Regional Director feels like the chain is not keeping up with the external environment, particularly in the areas of convenience, technology, digital marketing, and product offerings. I have been asked to briefly explain ONE new idea under EACH one of the areas of concern that would create value for prospects and existing customers.
