Ideology and Identity
1) Explain in your own words Althussers concept of ideology. Give some examples to explain the theory.
2) What is the class basis of ideology? How does ideology contribute to the maintenance of the existing class relations and order of domination? How does ideology naturalize what is purely historical?
3) Discuss how you have constituted your identity through ideology, and show how this is intersectional. How do gender, race, class, nationality, sexuality, and other identity markers intersect to constitute your identity? How does ideology structure your intersectionally produced understanding of Love.
4) Show how ideology is always lived as an embodied subjective experience, and how this embodied is structured by intersectionality.
