Explain how workers become unemployed

Reason for unemployment.

The flows of employees into and out of the labor force can obtain for many reasons. Outflows refer to labor market separation rates (share of those who were employed who become unemployed in a given period) and inflows refer to rates of job finding (share of the unemployed who find new jobs.) Using concrete examples*, discuss at least 3 reasons why and explain how workers become unemployed (be specific about causes), and also cite 3 reasons unemployed workers finally land new jobs or get rehired. In these discussions, identify whether the job finding or separation arises from structural factors, cyclical factors, or if they're frictional (temporary), and explain your reasoning.

*These can be drawn from news articles or anecdotal evidence from your own experience. Be sure to cite any news sources you use.
