Explain how the criticism works against the argument

Problem: We considered the following argument, from Rachel's essay. (1) Some moral beliefs vary from culture to culture. (2) If (1) is correct, then the truth of moral statements is relative to cultures. (3) So, moral statements, like 'Killing innocent children through infanticide is morally permissible', change from being true in some cultures to false in others. Your task (if you choose Topic #1) is to: (a) clearly state one and only one distinct criticism of this argument in your own words, (b) explicitly explain how the criticism works against the argument (you may utilize Rachels' criticism, my criticism from lecture, or your very own criticisms.), and, then, (c) critically discuss the issue (in other words, present the issue (main argument) from both sides, consider whether (and how) a relativist might object to the criticism you presented, and whether that this objection can be successful. You will need to support either answer with some evidence.
