This week you learned about the basics of sensation and perception-how individuals experience stimuli (sensation) and turn it into meaning through transduction, leading to interpretation (perception). People can share an experience "a sensation" (tasting a food, hearing a sound, witnessing an act), yet may have very different "perceptions" from one another. How do you explain how different people have different perceptions from the same sensation? Choose a sensory receptor(s), using terms and concepts learned from your readings, and give some specific examples that you have experienced to help explain this phenomenon.
