For this assignment, you will choose a peer-reviewed article related to an emerging or re-emerging zoonotic or vector-borne disease of your choice. Use the databases within an Online Library, Google Scholar, or use another reputable academic source that contains peer-reviewed articles. The purpose of this assignment is for you to practice reviewing environmental and public health articles that contribute to public health practice. The authors of these articles are researchers and professionals who have shared or experimented with ideas that demonstrate the potential to improve environmental and public health practice. As a professional in the industry, it is in your best interest to review the literature for past and current public health events, as well as evaluate control methods reviewed in such academic writings.
The article you choose must meet the following requirements:
a) be a peer-reviewed academic article (e.g. Journal of Environmental Health, Environmental Health Perspectives, Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR), The American Journal of Public Health, etc.
b) related to the concepts of zoonotic and vector-borne disease
c) recent within the last 10 years

c) Identify the disease and provide an overview of the environmental public health problem.
d) Identify the author's intended audience (public health practice, research, or both).
