Assignment task:
Think of a time when you were treated "unfairly" at work or in class, and describe the experience from your perspective in a new thread. Once you have posted your thread, read some of the other experiences and post two replies where you assume the role of a new manager in that situation. Using equity theory, diagnose the problem and come up with an "equitable" solution.
As a manager, you should become adept at diagnosing stressors - as an MBA student, chances are you already have developed some pretty effective tools for dealing with this too! Describe a very stressful work / school situation from your own experience, preferably one that was chronic rather than acute.
Time to talk about one of my favorite concepts in OB: social loafing. So, we're all guilty of this and as a manager you should watch out for it even though it may be very hard to detect. For your initial post, tell us about a time when you slacked off at work or school and totally got away with it. Discuss some of reasons why you did what you did.
