A. Capabilities are used to complete company's organizational tasks that are needed to produce, distribute, and service the goods a company provides to its customer. Core competencies serves a competitive advantage over there rival companies. The relationship between core competencies and capabilities is that a company at some point in time would have to use these factors to satisfy the target of customers they are trying to attract. Capabilities is having a certain skill set and core competency is mastering a certain skill for example I know how to work a computer and do what I need to do and get things done. Now that is my capabilities of my computer knowledge now an IT individual like my husband who knows and has been to school for this is more knowledgeable and proficient with it so this makes it his core competency.

B. The relationship between capabilities and core competency is the two work together to give an organization the competitive advantage in their respected fields. Capabilities is what a organization is capable of doing in their respected fields, their core competencies would be what a organization specializes in and what they are good at. For example Apple technicians are good and specializes in fixing and repairing Apple products ( core competencies) but because of their technical background (capabilities) they could also be retrained to fixed android products.
