Culture through Communication Ethnography
An ethnography is the written description of a particular communication/semiotic event or communication/semiotic aspects of an event in a society, culture or subculture. The description is based on observation and/or participation in a given event. Some examples of such events for an ethnography include, but are not limited to:
· Organized sports events
· Sorority and/or Fraternity events, activities (i.e. you can do a comparison/contrast of a fraternity and a sorority)
· Student organizations
· Community-based events (i.e. concerts, festivals, PRISM Drag Ball)
· Work and/or Volunteer experiences.
