b)  Suppose you are applying the Assimilative approach to Psychotherapy Integration to your own counselling practice, explain specifically how you will go about doing it.

c)  The therapist's function and role is a very important dimension to consider when one is doing counselling. Suppose you are working towards becoming an integrative counsellor, express  FIVE (5) questions that can assist you to reflect on what might be your function and role as a counsellor when you are counselling clients.

Question 3: Discuss THREE (3) strengths and TWO (2) shortcomings of Narrative Therapy from a multicultural perspective.

Question 4: 12-year-old Lucy has been referred by her mother, Mrs Lim, for counselling with regard to her frequent tendency to worry. According to Mrs Lim, Lucy has been exhibiting this tendency to worry ever since she was six when Mrs Lim and Mr Lim got a divorce. Since then, Lucy has been staying with Mrs Lim and she has stopped seeing her father. Lucy's family comprises her mother and Lucy's younger brother, Charles, aged six. The important areas in Lucy's life are her academic performance, her gymnastics training and her family life. The people who are important to Lucy are her immediate family, her grandparents and her gymnastics training friends.

a)  Present a transcript to show how you apply the steps of a particular type of conversation in Narrative Therapy to help Lucy create some distance between herself and the dominant problematic story.

b)  Do Transcript to show how you apply the Search for Unique Outcomes conversation with Lucy. Ensure that the transition to a Unique Outcome is based on what was written in the transcript for Question 4a either under Step 2a or Step 3 of the particular type of conversation being examined. (Make sure that your transcript for this question contains THREE (3) landscape of action questions and THREE (3) landscape of identity questions)

c) Present a transcript to show how you apply the Remembering conversation with Lucy. (Ensure that the Remembering conversation is connected to the transcript in Question 4b)

Question 5: 45-year-old Kevin is currently working as a Career Coach. Due to the Covid-19 situation, there has been a sharp increase in unemployment rate which has resulted in an increase in work stress for Kevin for the last three months. This work stress has affected his marital relationship and his relationship with his son, James, aged 10 years. Kevin has also stopped playing basketball with his college friends as well. After much consideration, Kevin decided to come to see you for counselling because he wanted to do something about this issue of work stress.

a) Apply a closed-ended goal clarifying question to clarify with Kevin the goal that he wants to work on at Stage 1 of the Solution-Focused Therapy Approach.

b)  Apply the "miracle question" to bring Kevin from Stage 1 to Stage 2 of the Solution- Focused Therapy Approach. (Align this question to Kevin's goal stated in Question 5a)

c)  Do a transcript to show how you apply all the SEVEN (7) follow-up questions in Stage 2 of the Solution-Focused Therapy Approach to make Kevin goals more "movie-like".

d)  Do a transcript to show how you apply the Conventional Method in Stage 3 of the Solution-Focused Therapy Approach to help Kevin generate strategies.

e) Give ONE (1) reason to explain why Solution-Focused Therapy fits in with the social constructionist's view of realities, and appraise how this reason may be a disadvantage from a multicultural perspective.
