Explain Adverse effects of Amprenavir
The most common adverse effects have been nausea, vomiting (especially in combination with zidovudine), perioral paresthesias and rash (JC Goodgame et al, Antivir Ther 2000; 5:215). Many patients with rash can continue or restart amprenavir if the rash is mild or moderate, but about 1% of patients have developed severe rashes, including Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
